Meet The Brave Team

Our Mission

At Brave Culture, we coach humans—not robots. That means we don’t do “all or nothing,” we don’t chase perfection, and we definitely don’t believe your worth is tied to your macros. We’re here to help you build a sustainable, intuitive, and hella realistic approach to fitness and health—one that actually fits your real life (yes, even the chaotic, messy, butt-cheek-sore parts).

Our mission is to create a space where people feel seen, heard, and supported—whether you're lifting heavy, bouncing a baby on your hip, or just trying to remember if you drank water today. We ditch the toxic pressure of comparison and instead focus on what actually works for you: movement you enjoy, food that fuels you, rest that restores you, and values that guide you.

Brave Culture was built by real people who’ve lived through trauma, burnout, grief, and glow-ups. We've done the hustle, hit rock bottom, and learned how to come home to ourselves—and we’re here to help you do the same. Fitness should feel like freedom, not punishment.

We’re not here to “fix” you. You’re not broken. We’re here to remind you how powerful, resilient, and wildly capable you already are—with a little guidance, a lot of compassion, and maybe a few sore glutes along the way.

Leah Fox

Owner, CEO, president, COO, manager, coach, councillor, executive, boss, big shot, Queen.  Totally humble leader Of Brave Culture.  Wink wink.

I am a certified Health coach, personal trainer, Yoga instructor and group fitness instructor in the industry For over 15 years.  I take a holistic approach and believe If it's going last long term it has to be true to you. There’s a difference between discipline and forcing yourself into living a way that isn’t authentic to you. I’ve done both and I continue to learn lessons, grow, shift and change.  I’ve been 90 lbs heavier, completely disembodied and I’ve been an Alberta figure champion  and still didn’t love myself.  This journey to health is so much more than just the physical, and my goal/ purpose is to create a space and culture that embodies truth, and real connection to yourself and others. All while showing you how to improve your fitness, kick your butts, show you how to move well and  help you discover what health and fitness means to you. Not what you think it should mean.

Josée Craig

Lead Trainer | Assistant Manager | BKin

With a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology and over six years of experience as a personal trainer, Josée brings both deep expertise and genuine care to her role as Lead Trainer and Assistant Manager at Brave Culture.

Her coaching philosophy is grounded in the belief that fitness should add to your life—not take it over. She doesn’t believe in quick fixes, aesthetic pressures, or one-size-fits-all plans. Instead, Josée helps clients build sustainable, long-term habits that support their real lives, bodies, and goals.

Having experienced the pressures of perfection in the fitness industry herself, Josée coaches from a place of empathy, focusing on movement that feels good, strength that’s functional, and a mindset that prioritizes self-trust and balance.

Whether she’s guiding a new mom, a beginner with gym anxiety, or someone returning to fitness after injury or burnout, Josée leads with education, encouragement, and honest support. Her coaching goes beyond the workout—into mindset, motivation, and the belief that lasting health is built from the inside out.

Emily Trent

Trainer | BKin

Emily began her fitness journey in 2018, earning her AFLCA certifications in group exercise and resistance training. Since then, she’s completed her Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from the University of Alberta, graduating in August 2023.

While studying in Edmonton, Emily worked as both a spin instructor and functional group fitness coach, building a strong foundation in training clients of all ages and abilities—from youth sports teams to older adults. She also has experience in injury rehabilitation, using her background as a kinesiologist to help clients recover safely and build strength with confidence.

After relocating to Fairview, Emily found a natural fit at Brave Culture. She’s passionate about creating a welcoming environment where people feel supported in their goals, no matter where they’re starting from. Whether you’re just beginning your fitness journey or looking to level up, Emily is here to guide you with expertise, encouragement, and a whole lot of heart.

She’s also a proud new mom as of 2023, and knows firsthand how important it is to create a supportive, welcoming environment for every stage of life.

A mother of two, grandmother of 3, and retired business owner, Tracy brings calm, grounded energy into every room she walks into. She’s been a steady presence through both the highs and lows, and someone the team has leaned on time and time again.
